the simster cometh...

Simmons built Bev Morgan a six foot board. He told Bev it would only work
as a dual fin. When Bev insisted on a single fin Simmons suggested
using dual fins with a trailing single fin. Bev refused, and the board
was a single fin, which didn't work. Here is our first stab at recreating
the board that might have been: the Simster. Shaped by Joe Bauguess,
fins by Larry Gephart.

big rock dude ranch

a few late waves at the rock today...
a place of significance in the history
of tube riding and board design.
for every pro that shows up here these days
with a film crew (JT etc etc etc) there are a dozen
local kids who shine brighter...two of whom,
Max and Marco, are deep in the guts of the
barrels shown here. hiding, as usual.
