THE NAUTILUS CHRONICLES PART I

there are hopes for a skate park in La Jolla
these days...possibly next to the fire station
on Nautilus Street...the same street where,
as far as we can tell,
Windansea surfer Peter Parkin rode the first
skateboard in 1947. Simmons kept boards at
Parkin's place. If that street could talk...

Can you post more information about the skateboard from 1948 and the dude who fashioned it, if its in the archives anywhere? very intriguing to think about a park being in the very place the first skateboard was pushed.
