What does the "trapazoidy" protrusion on the nose do?

looks super fun. i have had a harder time dialing in the asymmetrics that have a swallow into round like that...it feels like it wants to hook up a bit on the backside snap. but you all are better surfers than i am.

anyhoo, if you set the the toe side fin directly under where your toe will be and your heel side about 2" back from that measurement it really helps. because most surfers tend to position their foot with their toe slightly pointed forward.
the more i ride these boards, i am leaning towards closer end measurments but more drastic outline curve differences. and even though i like the setup i mentioned, the fin placements are still a mysterious adventure

whatever...im a dork. thanks for all the cool stuff your working on and putting out there. blessings, paul from sojourner surfboards

i'll take Ryan's super functional and original boards and surfing over someone else's tired "aesthetic" any day.

There's a lot of sheep out there. Burch is not one of them.
