Double Door: Toza Radakovich in collaboration with Carl Ekstrom 1968

Carl Ekstrom last week at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park, reunited, after 43 years, with the doors he finished for Toza Radakovich in 1968. Materials: polyurethane foam, fiberglass, wood. The doors will be exhibited at the Mingei for their exhibit "SAN DIEGO'S CRAFT REVOLUTION-From Post War Modern to California Design" which opens on October 16th, 2011. The exhibition is part of the Getty's Pacific Standard Time initiative. Stay tuned for info on the Hydrodynamica/Loft 9 Pacific Standard Time exhibit which will delve into relevant California board design 1945-1980.

Richard, I have been thoroughly enjoying Hydrodynamica and all your posts. I would like to get in contact with Carl Ekstrom regarding board design, specifically skateboard designs. I am sure you will be interested as well.

Best regards,
